Mahindra launched Marazzo on September 2018. This is perfect  MPV designed to give tough competition to updated Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta in this Segment. The MPV segment is growing very rapidly from past few years. Last year we see more premium MPV like Innova crystal, Mahindra Marrazzo and recently launched facelift of Maruti Ertiga. Updated Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has still outdated 1.3-liter, four-cylinder DDiS diesel engine which produces 88 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the Mahindra Marazzo gets a newly developed engine which is powerful. It is a 1.5 liter, a four-cylinder engine which churns out 121 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Features comparison of Marazzo and Ertiga

if we talk about the interior comparison, both the MPVs has same features like an infotainment system which is 7-inch touchscreen-equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HID Headlamps, LED taillamps and more. However, some features are missing or different in these two MPVs
For Example, the Ertiga doesn't have a  LED Daytime Running Lights. The start-stop button is missing in the Marazzo. Also, the Marazzo's rear air-console has more features the Maruti Ertiga.

The 2018 Mahindra Marazzo bigger over the all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga by a noticeable margin. The Marazzo is about 190 mm longer, 131 mm wider, 84 mm taller and has a 20 mm larger wheelbase as compared to Ertiga.

the 2018 Ertiga is equipped with 15-inch wheels across variants while the 2018 Marazzo has 16-inch wheels in the M2, M4, M6 variants and 17-inch wheels in the top-end M8 trim.

Yes, the new Ertiga has a bigger boot space of 210 liters, but even so, the Marazzo easily dwarfs it in terms of overall dimensions. It is wider, longer and has taller, and at 2,760mm, has a longer wheelbase, too. That helps into a good amount of interior space. With all three rows up, you get 190 liters of luggage space on the Marazzo, which is a bit less than the Ertiga's 153-litre boot. Despite the Marazzo being closer to the Innova Crysta size-wise, its claimed turning radius, at 5.25 meters, is closer to the Ertiga's 5.2 meters. Also worth noting is the fact that the Marazzo's 45-liter fuel tank is the same size as the new Ertiga's.

talking about the diesel variants, both Ertiga and Marazzo have 4 variants each and all the added perks in the Marazzo comes at a cost. It is more costly when compared to all available variant of the Ertiga. While the base model of the Ertiga diesel comes in the price bracket of  8.84 lakh(Ex-Showroom price), the Marazzo M2 is priced at  9.99 lakh(Ex-Showroom price). You go up all the way till the top-spec model and the difference between the prices of the Ertiga and the Marazzo is exactly  3 lakh, which a significant difference.

we know that the Ertiga, being the slightly smaller and lighter MPV here, is more efficient, by quite a margin. Claimed mileage for the new Ertiga is at 25 kmpl for the diesel, These numbers show a marked improvement over the older-gen models by Maruti. We all know that the bigger engine has less mileage. If you want more power then you have to compromise with mileage figure a bit.

Talking about the Exterior design the 2018 Maruti Ertiga has bigger up-front having a high hood line, wider chrome grille and bold bumper and other elements like c-shaped LED tail lamps and scooped tailgate makes the rear look rather attractive. The shark look of Mahindra Marazzo is very appealing. shark tooth grille and c-shape detailing are awesome. Overall Mahindra Marrazzo is more attractive when you see this MPV on road.

Verdict

If you are looking for MPVs which cost you less, easy to maintain and gives good mileage then you should go for Maruti Ertiga 2019 model But if you need more power and torque and you can compromise with mileage then Mahindra Marazzo has many features to offer. Mahindra Marazzo has a good initial pickup which is noticeable as compared to Ertiga. Maruti service network is very much wide all over India and spare parts are easily available.
