Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG G 63 Offroad Pro in India at Rs 3.80 crore (ex-showroom). The new limited-run variant gets extra off-road equipment and technology over the standard G 63. It costs Rs 6 lakh more than the regular AMG G 63.
Another important addition is AMG Traction Pro. It works with the Rock and Sand driving modes and can control braking torque at individual wheels. The system offers seven stages of locking effect to help improve traction on difficult surfaces.
The SUV also gets a Professional roof luggage rack with aluminium panels and a removable rear ladder. It rides on exclusive 20-inch AMG alloy wheels finished in matte black, wrapped in 275/50 R20 tyres.
Power is sent to all four wheels through the AMG Performance 4MATIC system. Mercedes-AMG claims a 0- 100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 240 km/h.
The off-road display can show information such as vehicle position, compass direction, altitude, steering angle, tyre pressure and differential-lock status.
The SUV also gets a Transparent Bonnet function, which uses cameras to provide a view of the area in front of and below the vehicle. Other features include Nappa leather, ambient lighting and an 18-speaker 760W Burmester 3D sound system.
With its limited production, extra off-road hardware, and the same powerful V8 engine, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro adds a more off-road-focused version to the G-Class range in India.
Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro: What Is New?
