The 1086 cc engine that was used by old Santro Xing has been returned. It now produces a bit higher power and torque as compared to the older model. This engine also comes with an extra cylinder, which makes rivals nervous about it, New Santro 2019 also comes with a factory fitted CNG kit which is probably cheaper.

Safety Features Santro 2019 vs old model

The older Santro didn’t offer any of the safety features like airbags or ABS with EBD. What it did offer were front and rear seat belts, day/night IRVM, keyless entry, speed sensitive door locks and engine immobilizer. The new 2018 Hyundai Santro gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera with sensors and fog lamps on offer as well. Driver-side airbag and ABS are standard.
