Lexus has officially revealed its first all-electric three-row SUV called the Lexus TZ. The new luxury electric SUV is based on the Toyota Highlander EV but gets a more premium design, advanced technology, and a luxurious cabin experience. Lexus says the TZ is designed for customers who want space, comfort, and strong electric performance in one package.
At the rear, the Lexus TZ gets connected LED tail lamps and illuminated LEXUS lettering, giving it a futuristic appearance. The SUV measures 5.1 metres in length and has a long 3,050 mm wheelbase, which helps create more cabin space for passengers.
Lexus will offer the TZ in 11 exterior colour options and multiple interior themes in international markets.
The centre console includes wireless charging, cup holders, gear selector, and touch-based climate controls. Lexus has also provided ventilated seats and powered ottomans for first and second-row passengers to improve comfort during long journeys.
The second and third-row seats can fold electrically, creating up to 2,017 litres of luggage space. Even with all seats up, the SUV offers 290 litres of boot space.
Other premium features include a panoramic sunroof, 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and three-zone climate control.
The larger battery version delivers a claimed driving range of up to 530 km on a single charge. Lexus has also confirmed that the top-spec model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, making it one of the quickest luxury electric SUVs in its segment.
The SUV supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 0 to 80 percent in around 35 minutes.
The Lexus TZ is expected to compete with luxury electric SUVs like the Kia EV9, Mercedes EQS SUV, and Volvo EX90 in global markets. While there is no official confirmation about its India launch yet, the growing EV demand could make it a strong future option for Indian luxury car buyers.

Features like ventilated seats, panoramic roof, and 530 km range make it practical for long drives too. However, its high expected price could limit buyers in India. If Lexus launches it at a competitive price, the TZ can become a great alternative to other luxury electric SUVs like Kia EV9 and Mercedes EQS SUV.
