The 2027 Hyundai Tucson has been revealed with a bigger design, more power, and new safety features. The fifth-generation SUV will go on sale in Korea in October, with prices to be announced closer to launch.
One of its key features is Memory Reverse Assist. It can remember the route used while parking in a tight space and later automatically reverse the SUV along the same path. The Tucson also gets Pedal Misoperation Safety Assist, which can detect when the accelerator is pressed instead of the brake at low speeds. It can reduce acceleration and apply emergency braking.
The SUV also gets a backup power system for unlocking the doors if the main power supply fails after a crash. Inside, there is a new Pleos Connect infotainment system with a large touchscreen.
The new Tucson is 4,700 mm long and 1,905 mm wide. Its 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 193 PS, while the hybrid version makes 245 PS and delivers 17.4 kmpl. Hyundai is expected to launch the new Tucson in India in 2027.
