New Electric SUV from Honda Teased Ahead Of 2027 Debut

Honda Cars India has officially teased its upcoming electric SUV, the Honda 0 Alpha, for the Indian market. The new model will be launched in 2027 and will compete directly with popular upcoming electric SUVs like the Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6, and Tata Curvv EV.

New Electric SUV from Honda Teased Ahead Of 2027 Debut

The Honda 0 Alpha was first shown at the Japan Mobility Show in October 2025. It will be part of Honda’s new “0 Series” electric vehicle range. The company has confirmed that the SUV will be manufactured locally in India, not imported as a completely built unit. This move can help Honda keep the price competitive.

Design and Exterior

The Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV has a modern and bold design. It gets an upright front look with vertically stacked headlamps connected by a slim LED light strip. The front and rear windshields are sharply angled, giving it a sporty appearance.

The SUV features an illuminated Honda logo, front-mounted charging port, strong body cladding, and large 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. At the rear, a wide U-shaped LED tail lamp setup makes it look futuristic. The overall design focuses on aerodynamics and road presence.

Inside, Honda follows its “Thin” design concept. The cabin is expected to offer a flat floor layout, advanced connectivity features, and modern safety technologies. Though full details are not revealed yet, the SUV is likely to offer a spacious and tech-focused interior suitable for urban families.

Battery and Performance

Honda has not shared official performance figures yet. However, reports suggest the Honda 0 Alpha EV may come with two battery pack options – 65 kWh and 75 kWh. It is expected to use a single motor with a front-wheel drive setup. More details about the range and power output will be announced closer to launch.

Expected Price and Rivals

The expected price of the Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV in India could be between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 30 lakh. With this pricing, it will directly challenge the Hyundai Creta EV and other mid-size electric SUVs in India’s fast-growing EV market.

Honda clearly aims to strengthen its position in India’s electric vehicle segment with this new launch.
