Engine and Power

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa comes with an advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain. It uses a twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors. The petrol engine alone produces 819 hp, while the electric motors add 217 hp, taking the total power output to 1,035 hp. Two motors are placed on the front axle for better traction and torque vectoring, while the third motor sits between the engine and transmission to assist during acceleration.

Performance

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa delivers extreme supercar performance. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.2 seconds and reach 200 km/h in around 6.3 seconds. The car has a top speed of more than 330 km/h. It also features an eight-speed dual-clutch F1 gearbox for lightning-fast gear shifts. In electric mode, the car can travel up to 24.9 km with a limited top speed of 128 km/h.

Price in India

Ferrari has launched the 849 Testarossa in India with a starting price of ₹10.37 crore (ex-showroom). The final price can increase significantly depending on customisation options, as Ferrari offers a wide range of bespoke interior and exterior choices for buyers.

Exterior

The design of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa is inspired by classic racing cars from the 1970s while maintaining a modern and aggressive look. The car features sharp aerodynamic lines, large side air intakes integrated into the doors, and a cab-forward stance.

The rear design includes a double-tail layout inspired by the legendary Ferrari 512 S race car. At the front, a horizontal bridge element gives the car a distinctive Ferrari identity.

Interior

Inside the cabin, Ferrari combines classic styling with modern technology. The car features a gated-style gear selector inspired by old Ferrari manual shifters. Unlike many modern cars, the steering wheel now has physical buttons instead of touch controls, making it easier to operate while driving. The cockpit includes digital displays for both the driver and passenger, showing performance data and driving information. Buyers can choose between comfort seats or racing seats.

Rivals in India

In the Indian market, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa competes with high-performance hybrid supercars like the Lamborghini Revuelto and other ultra-luxury performance models from brands such as McLaren and Porsche. These cars offer similar levels of performance, cutting-edge technology, and exclusivity for supercar enthusiasts.
