Mahindra has confirmed that its new electric SUV, based on the BE.07 concept, will launch in 2027. This upcoming model is currently known by the internal name B07, but the final production version will have a different name. The BE.07 was first shown in 2022 during Mahindra’s Born Electric event, where the company revealed five electric SUV concepts.
Earlier, the BE.07-based SUV was expected to launch in late 2026. However, Mahindra has now delayed the launch to 2027. The company says this new model will play an important role in expanding its electric vehicle lineup in India and global markets.
Since 2022, Mahindra has already launched some of its electric SUVs based on those concepts. The BE.05 entered production as the BE6. The XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 were launched as the XEV 9S and XEV 9e. These models have received a good response, with over 41,000 units sold in less than a year. The upcoming BE.07-based SUV is expected to further increase Mahindra’s EV sales.
The new electric SUV will be built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, which is specially designed for electric vehicles. It is likely to offer battery pack options between 60 kWh and 80 kWh. This should provide a good driving range and strong performance.
